Real Estate market in certain parts of Brevard County. There is a 100% valid, bonafide shortage of homes for sale along all beach side communities in this county for the last several weeks. That fact alone makes it a reality that there hasn't been a better time to buy (before prices are forced upwards) or sell (because for the first time in years it's a seller's market for homes under $250K). There are only 201 single family homes for sale along all of the beaches in Brevard county including Port and Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, Patrick Air Force Base, Indian Harbor Beach, Indialantic, Melbourne and South Beaches under $400K. That number is very low and with the last space shuttle launching on Friday all fear this phenomena is only temporary. That may very well be the case for the northern part of the county but many in the real estate industry feel as though the central and southern part of the county will not be so affected.
